Floral close-ups are the primary subject for my colored pencil drawings. I am fascinated with the beauty and intricacies of a single bloom,and the thousands of varieties and colors give me an endless source with which to create. More than 260 colored pencil paintings have been completed in the last 25 years.
I am currently combining computer art with my colored pencils. Using digital images of my own photographs to produce a soft digital underpainting,I then add many layers of colored pencil over the entire piece. This results in a color enhanced photo-image which is subdued,yet realistic.
As a signature member of the Colored Pencil Society of America,my work has been published in five books on colored pencil.
